First Rule of The Internet

SEPTEMBER 27th, 2008 by RYAN

The collapsible archives to your right work more or less as intended. I would rather have them set up so that only the $page variable is updated on click rather than the entire page view, but I don't know how to do that or if it's even possible. If you do, let me know. If you don't, enjoy your collapsible menus, they were a pain in the ass to set up as my java skills have atrophied to the lowest of tiers.

Another thing I learned was how to set up browseable directories! This allows me to upload massive amounts of neat stuff without having to organize a page about it. Work smarter, not harder! For my first trick using browseable (is that a word?) directories, I present to you funny pictures. They are semi-SFW, with only one or two being questionable. I may make a NSFW subdirectory at a later date as this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my collection of Things From The Internet.

In more personal news, the new Amon Amarth album has arrived. It's pretty much all that I've been listening to for the past week. Generally when I get into a band it's after their peak, so I get excited about the new album, it comes, and it disappoints me. However, Amon Amarth has blown me away TWICE now with new albums since I've become interested in them, which makes them the greatest thing ever. First band ever to really tempt me into purchase merchandise, and definitely the most sucessful band at taking money out of my wallet.

Twilight of the Thunger God

Future updates to anticipate include my attempt to record a song in the style of METAAAAAL! "Attempt" is emphasized. Also, regular updates of the Funny Pictures directory. And at some point I will likely create a welcome post for the large numbers of educators I will be directing to my site in a flagrant attempt to shop for scholarship money. If Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac deserve such a safety net after their sister Sallie Mae has failed me so many times, then I think that I should get bailed out too!
